Being born & raised in Nigeria, Laulo has been honing his artistic skill since childhood. Since 2013 he has been based in New York & and spreading his work in delight of our sense of sight.
This art he calls 'Sacred Art of the Ori' and it strongly shows his Yoruba heritage. He’s a Visual Artist, Musician, Human Rights Lawyer & Activist. His motto, “Everything is my Canvas”, is clearly lived & manifested with his Afro-tribal designs.
Laolu worked with Beyonce on “Lemonade”. After this colaboration his name obviously got more into the spotlight, but it is his art that is the real drawcard. He has also worked with Alicia Keys, Nike & Black Coffee to mention just a few.
From hand painted shoes, clothing, body painting, luggage & prints his work has a distinct African style with great tribal undertones.
