Manthe Ribane, a gravitating human force

Manthe Ribane, born in Soweto - South Africa, is a talented graphic designer, dancer & performer. At the age of eight she performed in front of Nelson Mandela at the FNB Stadium for the world renowned icon’s birthday.

She has been a muse to several photographers and modeled for countless magazines, including Destiny Magazine & ID Magazine. She has made a strong South African impact in the fashion & art world and has been featured in music videos.

In a world where values and morals seem to sway for popular media attention, Manthe says: "In the 21st century I strongly believe that it’s my responsibility to create respectful art with my purpose to create a more respectful and powerful future generation. We only have each other to grow, so we can’t afford to destroy the foundation."

Her strong sense of South African identity, creative genius & absolutely incredible example turn yet more spotlights to African art, performance & fashion.

In an interview she says: "My Late Mom used to say: People will treat you the way you treat yourself . Those words are forever tattooed in my heart. How you present yourself has a longevity and timeless memory on others."

Manthe made her vocal debut with musician Okzharp in the extended play production titled ‘Dear Ribane’ which was directed by Chris Saunders. This extended play was presented at the Norient Music Film Festival in Bern Switzerland. She has an impressive list of collaborations from posing for renowned photographer Akinbode Akinbiyi, appearing in a South African tourism campaign and dancing on tour with Die Antwoord, the notorious rap-rave band that went global in 2010.

We find her success story to be an incredible inspiration to every single soul born in Africa. May we all be inspired, may we all inspire, may we all prosper.
